Hyper-v Vm checkpoints

The size of the .avhdx file is big and keeps growing if a checkpoint is taken while VM is running as opposed to checkpoints taken while VM is off. Look at the picture below, a real observation made.

Therefore, to minimize the amount of space used by VM checkpoints, shutdown the VM, then capture the checkpoint.
